A formidable nine hole course, crossing streams and navigating awkward slopes, the local golf course (Katlavöllur) is tucked away from civilisation in a wonderfully remote pocket of Húsavík landscape. With excellent views across the bay, and back towards Húsavík Mountain, it´s well respected as being one of the finest in Iceland. Offering something for all levels of experience, you can hire golf clubs on site if needs be or if you come off season, have no fear! In the winter time, the local Whale Museum transforms into an unusual setting for the world´s most northerly putting green.
